I had the pleasure of meeting Jose and Lucia in December 2005 on the New Years Ride.  I had no idea what to expect when we signed up, and absolutely everything far exceeded my expectations.  

I was most impressed with the horses.  They were all high quality, well trained horses that were expertly matched to each person on the ride.  During the whole ride, every horse (and the mules!) were very well taken care of.  As an equine veterinarian, I was very impressed.

The accommodations are superb.  Our room was bigger than some houses I have lived in!  The food was very well prepared and every person's dietary needs were taken into consideration.  Pool, hot tub, library, and everything you could possibly need.  Five star treatment for a fraction of the price.

I highly recommend you take this trip.  It is fantastic and I plan on going back in the future.  I also suggest you plan an extra day in Mexico City to see the sights either before or after your ride.  We did and it was well worth the extra night.
